Dry, Cracked Hands

I have never had a problem with cracked hands before. But, after moving to Texas my knuckles were sore and cracked in the cold weather. I mixed three drops of lemon essential oil and 1 tablespoon of fractionated coconut oil and kept it in a small Tupperware on my kitchen counter. For the next three days, I applied the mixture to my sore knuckles whenever I walked by. It probably took about nine or 10 applications. But after three days my hands were pain-free, moisturized and healed!

The number one oil to treat dry cracked hands is geranium oil, followed closely by sandalwood oil. I'm curious to know if using those oils would have resulted in a faster healing process. However lemon was already in my collection and is one of the cheaper oils, so I wanted to give it a shot first. I am very pleased with the results and would absolutely use it again.

Stress Headache

Sunday afternoon, my husband had a splitting stress headache located on the left side of his face and neck. I used the past tense roller on his temples across his forehead and at the base of his neck. I also used two drops of peppermint oil, Melaleuca oil, and lavender oil each, rubbed my fingers together and applied the mixture to the same locations. He then laid down, closed his eyes and inhaled the aroma. He was sleeping within minutes and woke 30 minutes later without any trace of a headache.
